Properties of walnut oil

It contains many healthy substances such as polyunsaturated fatty acids like linoleic, linolenic and oleic acids. These acids  cannot be synthesized or produced by human metabolism.

Walnut kernels is rich in magnesium and potassium.

It also contains sisosterols, vitamins A, B1, B2, C, E, F, PP, carotin, zinc, dietary fibre and substantial amount of iron. It contains polyunsaturated acids named Omega-3, Omega-6, stearic, oleic, palmitic acids.

Walnut is rich a rich source of vegetable proteins.

It contains iodine which is necessary for prevention of thyroid disease.

It is suitable for hot and cold usage! Smoke point of walnut oil is around 342 °F or 172 °C.

Uses of walnut oil

It has a nice nutty flavor. Therefore, it can be used in salad dressings, to enhance flavor of fish and steaks. It can be used with pasta, and also in desserts.

We recommend to use it as uncooked and in cold sauces to get the most benefits of undamaged fatty acid compositions.

Cold Pressed  walnut oil is very good on salads. You may use it in a chicken or turkey salad with some grapes and walnut pieces.

It can be applied with a brush on grilled fish and steaks just before serving.

Mix cooked pasta with this oil and spices.
